London Needs You!

London needs you!

Tell Everyone, London’s Future Depends on Boris!

You know you’re a Londoner when…

You know you’re a londoner when you can be described perfectly by this statement:

You are a hardened Londoner. You have the purest Thames water running through your veins, and your heart is made of London clay. The Underground is a second home to you, and you can, and probably do, travel the tube with your eyes shut. Tourists, beggars, buskers – you pass them by without so much as noticing that they are there. Unless of course they get in your way, which doesn’t happen very often: when you have a travelcard in your hand crowds tend to part before you like the Red Sea. This is how it should be. It is your right to have a seat on the train to work. It is your right to be the first one to the top of the escalator. Because the tube is governed by hundred of rules of behaviour, the most important of which is: me first.

Find out what sort of londoner you are here. It does make you think, what sort of a londoner are you really? Are you the real londoner, someone that lives within 20 mins of the “real” city centre, are you the sort that thinks the square mile is the city, and gasp a sigh of relief as your train leaves for the green fields of home, are you like me an explorer, someone who no matter how long you’ve lived in the city you’re still in love with it, exploring strange corners, strange shops, quiet squares, and huge parks. I’ve lived in London for years, and I still find myself amazed by the place, maybe it’s a case of being caught in the bright lights of the city, but you’d have thought that would have worn off in all the years I’ve been here.
